ServicePilot ("we", "us") operates a home-services marketplace that connects homeowners with local contractors. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use and protect it.
Information we collect
Homeowners: name, mobile phone number, email address, service address, county, and a description and optional photos of the repair.
Contractors: business name, contact name, mobile phone number, email address, trades, service counties, and a payment method (stored by Stripe — we never see full card numbers).
We also log basic site usage (pages viewed, referrer) to improve the service.
How we use it
To match a homeowner with one local contractor at a time; to send a one-time verification code; to send job and booking updates by text (only if you opted in) and by email; to charge contractors the lead fee they agreed to; to resolve disputes; and to keep both sides safe. A homeowner's contact details are shared only with the single contractor who accepts the job.
Mobile information & text messaging (SMS)
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, excluding aggregators and providers of the text message services.
Texting is optional. You opt in by ticking the unchecked SMS checkbox on our booking form (servicepilot.solutions/book) or contractor signup form (servicepilot.solutions/pros). Regardless of that choice, we send a single one-time verification code by text to confirm a booking request. If you opt in you may receive job offers, booking confirmations, appointment reminders, payment notices and a one-time review request. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel at any time and HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Sharing
We share personal information only with service providers that operate the platform on our behalf — payment processing (Stripe), text-message delivery (our SMS aggregator), email delivery and hosting — and as required by law. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing.
Retention & security
We keep booking and transaction records as long as needed to operate the marketplace, resolve disputes and meet legal obligations. Data is encrypted in transit and access is restricted to authorized staff.
Your choices
You may request a copy or deletion of your data, or opt out of texts (reply STOP) or emails (unsubscribe link) at any time. Contact Aziz@servicepilot.solutions with any request.
